A collection made to be explored

AOMAME-DO brings selection, careful image work, historical context and a considered viewing experience together in one digital collection.

01 / RESTORATION

Color, carefully adjusted

Each print is individually adjusted to reduce age-related yellowing and fading while preserving the character of the original image.

02 / RESOLUTION

Fine detail at large print sizes

All thirty images exceed 10,000 pixels along their longer edge. With the full image fitted on paper measuring up to 23.4 × 33.1 in (594 × 841 mm), they retain approximately 300 ppi or more, making them well suited to high-quality fine-art printing.

03 / EDITORIAL

Context for every work

Each entry brings together the artist, creation period, a concise overview and a longer commentary to help readers look more closely.

Under the Wave off Kanagawa

Hokusai sets a towering wave against a small Mount Fuji in the distance. Their difference in scale turns a familiar seascape into a striking study of movement, perspective and the force of nature.
